first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A Wading River man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a Hampton Bays man during a road rage confrontation in Calverton on Easter, Riverhead town police said.Officers found Brett Penny, 48, suffering from a stab wound to the chest and left hand on Sound Avenue near Fresh Pond Road at 3:36 p.m. Sunday, police said.Penny was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.Michael Doroski, 25, surrendered to authorities and was charged with assault. Man who shot at police, then shot himself dies

first_imgJordan De Sayles, 35, who shot at Fort Pierce police officers during a traffic stop before shooting himself has died, police said.The incident took place on Sunday morning around 3 am in the 500 block of Orange Avenue. Police pulled over De Sayles and once he got out of the car, he fired shots at the officers.Police shot back, and De Sayles attempted to take cover inside a nearby building.Officers tried to get De Sayles to surrender but instead he shot himself. He was taken to local hospital and was in critical condition.Fort Pierce police spokeswoman April Lee announced that he has died of a self-inflicted wound on Thursday, and all officers involved were placed on administrative leave.last_img

Breaking: Man arrested and €70,000 of drugs recovered in Garda raid

first_imgGardai have made a major drugs-bust in the Drumkeen area.More than €70,000 worth of drugs was recovered in the raid.The drugs haul included MDMA worth €40,000, cocaine to the value of €22,000 and cannabis worth €8,000. One man in his 20s was arrested and detained for questioning.A Garda spokesman said their investigations into the raid is ongoing.Garda Inspector Goretti Sheridan said “This is a very significant seizure by the Drug Unit in Letterkenny.
