Nine houses spread out on four floors may be built on World War II shelters and caves as a developer has submitted an application to develop in Bullara Street in Xagħra, Gozo.The Superintendence for Cultural Heritage stated that she will not object to this development as the plans show that the buildings will be three metres away from the caves and shelters of the area.Although the developer has the required permits, new plans have been submitted by the Architect Alexander Bigeni so that some changes are made.Pjanta tas-sit fi Triq ta’ Bullara fix-Xagħra, GħawdexUp till now, 20 residents have already signed a petition which has been presented to the Planning Authority last week.A letter addressed to the Prime Minister has also been sent by a correspondent by the name of “Neil”, who said that he is bringing forward the feelings felt by many residents.
