The Ministry of Tourism co-finances 2,2 pupils and students with HRK 423 million

first_imgIn the school year 2017/2018, the Ministry of Tourism, based on the Program for Encouraging the Education of Personnel in Hospitality and Tourism – Scholarships 2017, will co-finance 423 pupils and students who are educated for hospitality and tourism occupations related to the development of special forms of tourism compared to last year when 229 scholarship holders were co-financed it represents a significant increase from 194 scholarship holders. The Ministry of Tourism will allocate HRK 2,2 million for this purpose.These are scholarships implemented by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with companies, ie hotels, camps, tourist agencies and county chambers of crafts, in such a way that each stakeholder participates with 50 percent and HRK 2,2 million has been set aside for this purpose this year. Funds for this year’s public call were awarded to scholarship holders of 23 companies and 1 county chamber of crafts: Adriatic Luxury Hotels Inc., Dubrovnik – 14 scholarship holders, Turist Ltd., Varaždin – 6 scholarship holders, Eridan Ltd., Kastel Stari – 1 scholarship holder, Imperial dd, Rab – 1 scholarship holder , Uniline doo – 2 scholarship holders, Valamar riviera dd, Poreč – 200 scholarship holders, Maistra dd, Rovinj – 8 scholarship holders, Grand hotel Lav doo, Podstrana – 9 scholarship holders, Atrium – hotel grupa doo, Split – 9 scholarship holders, Jadranka hoteli doo, Mali Lošinj – 21 scholarship holders, Hotels Njivice doo, Njivice – 3 scholarship holders, Toplice Sveti Martin dd, Sveti Martin na Muri – 2 scholarship holders, Pakoštane dd, Pine Beach Pakoštane – 2 scholarship holders, Lpd tours doo, Baška – 1 scholarship holder, Plava laguna dd, Poreč – 9 scholarship holders, Laguna Novigrad dd, Novigrad – 11 scholarship holders, Ture doo, Postira – 1 scholarship holder, Hotel Medena dd, Seget Donji – 9 scholarship holders, Manas doo, Split – 3 scholarship holders, Ordesa doo, Split – 1 scholarship holder, Chamber of Crafts Varaždinske counties – 12 scholarship holders, Sunce koncern dd, Zagreb – 88 scholarship holders, Hotels Živogošće dd, Živogošće – 17 scholarship holders, Lovrito doo, Sesvete – 1 scholarship holder. “Quality workers are the basis for the continued growth and development of Croatian tourism, because in tourism, man is primarily the key to success. That is why we are actively working to increase the attractiveness of jobs in tourism through scholarship programs aimed at raising the quality of staff in the hospitality and tourism, and thus the growth and development of the entire Croatian tourism. Through them, we encourage the education of students and vocational professions and connect them with future employers during their schooling, and we are especially pleased that this year there is even greater interest in scholarships from students, but also large tourism companies, our partners in this project, so this year the Ministry of Tourism co-finances 423 scholarship holders, or 194 scholarship holders more than last year.” said Minister Cappelli.Based on this program, pupils and students are entitled to a maximum of 600 kuna monthly scholarship, namely students from September 1 of the current to June 30 next year, and students from September 1 of the current to August 30 next year. Immediately after the completion of regular schooling, ie studying, the partner has the obligation to conclude a fixed-term employment contract or a trainee employment contract with the scholarship holder. During the receipt of the scholarship, the scholarship holder has the obligation to regularly perform a professional internship, enroll in classes / year in the regular term and remain employed in the company for at least as long as the scholarship lasted.
