Man arrested for cyber stalking

first_imgHyderabad: The Rachakonda cybercrime sleuths on Friday arrested a cyber-stalker by name G Ganesh, 21, a male nurse, for sexually harassing a woman online and stalking for not accepting his love proposals. The accused threatened to defame the woman complainant by sharing objectionable and abusive photos of the victim via WhatsApp and FaceBook if she did not accept to his proposal. As per the technical evidence collected, they apprehended the accused at Uppal X Road and seized the mobile phone from his possession. Upon enquiry, he admitted to the crime. In July 2018, Ganesh and the victim worked in SVS Neuro Hospital in Kachiguda, and they became close friends. He also took close selfies of her in his mobile. Presently, the victim is working at a private hospital in Banjara Hills. The accused had been regularly calling the victim over phone and WhatsApp and insisting her to love him and to fulfil his sexual desires. When the complainant refused his proposals, he shared her photos via WhatsApp and also uploaded the photos on her FaceBook page to defame her and to take revenge on her.last_img read more
